Are you in the mood for some data?

Some people are very hesitant when it comes to data, perhaps they are slightly wary of its power. Yet, here at Wellbeing with Cari, we love data!

In 2021, we conducted a case study across four large organisations in the UK, offering them an initial Cari consultation, followed by a second consultation to be taken 1-3 weeks after the initial one.

Our aim across the four case studies was to look at the difference in wellbeing levels, brain performance, and presenteeism in individuals before and after a consultation with Cari.

People were given access to two consultations with Cari, between 1-3 weeks apart.  Results were anonymised and aggregated to provide an overall measure of levels.

2089 people offered consultations across four large organisations

  • Case study 1: 498 completed (24% engagement overall)
  • Case study 2: 129 completed (6% engagement overall)

Case study 1 represents the number of individuals that took part in an initial Cari consultation. Upon completing the initial Cari consultation, individuals received a prompt to complete a second consultation between 1-3 after the first consultation was completed.

The top line data:

  • A 13% decrease in presenteeism across the 4 organisational over the course of 4 weeks.
  • Following the second consultation, there was a decrease in the ‘injured quartile’, from 20% to 18%, while the ‘ill’ quartile dropped from 0.4% to 0%.
  • There was a 6.8% increase in the overall wellbeing score over a period of 4 weeks.
  • There was a 5.8% increase in brain capability after the second consultation was completed.
  • Following completion of the second Cari consultation there was an increase in all five pillars of wellbeing – there was a 4% increase for support, a 6% increase for coping, a 5% increase for relationships, a 5% increase for role and a 5% increase for happiness/ health.
  • There was an increase in 3 out of the 4 energy gauges after the second consultation – a 5% increase in reduction of stress, a 6% increase in work/home balance and a 4% increase in emotional environment. There was no change in data for the organisation duty of care gauge.
