Aims of the study:
Measure the levels of mental wellbeing and resilience in the public sector workplace
Test the accuracy of wellbeing consultations using innovative AI technology
Understand the performance outcomes and ROI for neuroscience-based wellbeing interventions like Cari.
Key Results:
4157 people engaged in an AI wellbeing consultation
46% of public sector employees are operating at a low ‘reactive level of wellbeing’
22% are damaged or ill and only 32% are presenting as ‘healthy’
Employees’ brains are functioning at 57% which means problem solving, decision making and co-operative behaviours are seriously compromised.

Outcomes:
By using AI, the public sector organisations involved in the study achieved a wellbeing and performance boost of 8.2%
This means a predicted saving on the current costs of poor mental health of £1.7 – £1.8m per year, or £130 per person per month
Results will be boosted further with continued use of AI such as Cari
Return on Investment:
In January 2020 Deloitte’s research stated that a return of over 10 times (£10.80 for every £1 spent) could be achieved (and likely higher), if employers focus on investing in a best practice set of interventions.
Applying Deloitte’s data, Wellbeing with Cari predicts an annual return of £1.9m on an investment of £215,595 pa
By using AI that also proactively guides people to use existing wellbeing provisions, it drives more ROI from these investments
Employees’ brains are functioning at 57% which means problem solving, decision making and co-operative behaviours are seriously compromised.

“We implemented Cari because we recognised that it was better to have useful insights, rather than remaining ignorant when it comes to mental health and wellbeing in our organisation. It’s so important to have data about your workforce so you can act upon it to improve performance and reduce the risk of litigious issues. Cari enables us to offer genuine holistic and personalised support to everyone. But also gives the additional, powerful benefit of encouraging our staff to take their wellbeing seriously. They now feel more responsible for looking after their own mental health.”
